Warnings of violent political acts in the United States have prompted New Zealand authorities to deploy an online counter-terrorism team.
The Department of Internal Affairs is assigning staff to monitor online platforms before, during and immediately after Joe Biden s Presidential inauguration.

A research team at Qingdao Agricultural University in Shandong province announced recently that it had succeeded in cloning a jungle cat.
The university is the first in China to clone a feline using a technique known as somatic cell nuclear transfer.
Researchers said the technology of feline cloning is expected to play a role in studying animal diseases, developing new drugs and protecting endangered species.
The white-and-black baby cat, born on Dec 24, weighed 75 grams and has been healthy. It was named Ping an by researchers, meaning peace and safety. They hoped the cloned kitty would bring good luck for the New Year, as it was born at the end of a year that had seen massive global hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic.

New Delhi [India], January 20 (ANI): The iconic Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Parliamentcomplex was on Wednesday relocated from its place facing the main gate to a space near Gate number 3, to make space for the ongoing construction of the new Parliament building.
The 16 feet high bronze statue of a seated Bapu has been a constant and most preferable site of protests by opposition leaders to protest against the government s policies.
According to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, the new parliament building will reflect the art, culture and diversity of all provinces and will be a centre of inspiration for all citizens.
